[Music] [Music] before I read Psalm 91 I'd like to share a few things about the home our homes are more than just physical structures they're places of Refuge love and spiritual growth now I believe that we should be seeking God's presence and blessings within our households each and every day because of the following reasons seeking God's presence and blessing within our household will establish a foundation of faith in Psalm 127:1 we read unless the Lord builds the house the builders labor in vain our homes are built upon more than bricks and mortar they're built upon the foundation of Faith prayer invites God's presence into our homes establishing a solid foundation of faith that withstands the storms of life think of a skilled Builder who lays a firm foundation before building the actual house well prayer lays the groundwork for a home filled with God's presence and blessing providing stability and security for our families Point number two seeking God's presence and blessing within our households will cultivate a spirit of unity and love in Colossians 3:14-15 we are urged to put on love which binds everything together in Perfect Harmony and Let the Peace of Christ rule in your hearts to which indeed you were called in one body and be thankful prayer Fosters a spirit of unity and love within our homes creating an atmosphere of peace and Harmony prayer cultivates an environment of love and unity within our homes where relationships Thrive and grow Point number three seeking God's presence and blessing within our households will bring protection and provision in Psalm 91:9 to11 we are assured because you have made the Lord your Dwelling Place the most high who is my refuge no evil shall be allowed to befall you no plague come near your tent for he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways prayer invites God's protection and provision into our homes guarding us against spiritual attacks and providing for our needs a Shepherd protects his flock from predators prayer Shields our homes from spiritual harm and so our Good Shepherd Jesus Christ ensures that we are protected and taken care of in Joshua 24:15 Joshua declares but as for me in my house we will serve the Lord Prayer nurtures a legacy of Faith within our homes passing down the values and beliefs of Christianity from one generation to the next just as a torch Bearer passes the flame to the Next Generation prayer in the home prayer consistent prayer that is seen by children and even by a spouse it ignites a passion for God within our families ensuring that the light of Faith continues to shine brightly in our homes for years to come the importance of praying for our homes cannot be overstated prayer lays the foundation of Faith cultivates Unity and love provides protection and provision and nurtures a legacy of Faith within our families Psalm 91 verse 1-16 says he who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty I will say of the Lord he is my refuge and my Fortress my God in him I will trust surely he shall deliver You From The Snare of the Fowler and the perilous pestilence he shall cover you with his feathers and under his wings you shall take refuge his truth shall be your shield and buckler you you shall not be afraid of the terror by night nor of the arrow that flies by day nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness nor of the destruction that lays waste at Noonday a thousand may fall at your side and 10,000 at your right hand but it shall not come near you only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked because you have made the Lord who is my refuge even the most high your Dwelling Place no evil shall befall you nor shall any plague come near your dwelling for he shall give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways in their hands they shall bear you up lest you dash your foot against the stone you shall tread upon the lion and the Cobra the Young Lion and the serpent you shall trample Under Foot because he has set his love upon me therefore I will deliver him I I will set him on high because he has known my name he shall call upon me and I will answer him I will be with him in trouble I will deliver him and honor him with long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation the shelter of the most high Psalm 91 begins with a resounding Declaration of God's protection and refuge for those who dwell in his presence verse one say sets the tone whoever dwells in the shelter of the most high will rest in the shadow of the almighty this imagery evokes a sense of security and peace that can only be found in the intimate presence of God verse two trusting in God's Deliverance verse two reinforces the theme of trust and confidence in God's Deliverance I will say of the Lord he is my refuge and my Fortress my God in whom I trust this Proclamation underscores the importance of verbalizing our trust in God declaring his authority over our lives and circumstances verses 3-13 the promise of protection as we continue through Psalm 91 we encounter a powerful description of God's unwavering protection over his people from verses 3 to13 we find Promises of deliverance from various forms of danger and Calamity including deadly pestilence Terror by night and the snare of the Fowler these verses serve as a reminder that God's presence is not only a source of spiritual comfort but also a shield against the trials and tribulations of life it's a testament to his faithfulness and steadfast love toward those who place their trust in him verses 14 to 16 is all about God's covenant faithfulness in the closing verses of Psalm 91 we witness a reaffirmation of God's covenant faithfulness toward his people verse 14 declares because he loves me says the Lord I will rescue him I will protect him for he acknowledges my name this assurance of divine rescue and protection is extended to all who love and acknowledge the name of the Lord in verses 15 and 16 God himself speaks promising to be with his people in times of trouble and to honor them with long life and salvation these verses encapsulate the depth of God's love and care for his children offering hope and Assurance even in the midst of adversity God's presence offers Refuge strength and protection in times of trouble it's a presence that brings peace and Assurance to our hearts knowing that we are sheltered under the shadow of the [Music] almighty Lord Jesus hear our prayer today master hear our hearts cry Lord some of us are facing battles that we don't know how to win so we ask you to help us some of us are in situations that have left us confused and unclear so God we ask that you give us Clarity and Direction some of us are battling feelings of loneliness and anxiety speak to us and and comfort us Lord remind us that we belong to you father together with everyone listening our prayer is that you would answer our call in the day of trouble our prayer is that you would be ou
