that he is coming like a thief in the night will you be ready or will you be bogged down by the cares of this world will you be ready or will you be found to be caught up in the pleasures of this world will you be ready or will you allow anger greed Envy or sin to distract you from what really matters we spend a lot of time thinking thinking about our future thinking about our husband or wife we're always thinking about how to make more money how to save more money there's almost never a moment in time when we are not thinking but what if your thoughts were exposed for all to see what if your thoughts were on full display would they be shameful thoughts would they disturb many people would they reflect a Godly character Hebrews chapter 4 verse 13 says nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account take a minute to examine your thoughts ask yourself why do I think the way I do does it line up with the word of God does it glorify the Lord are you living as though you know your days are numbered are you storing up treasure in heaven with the few days you have left here on Earth are you fighting and striving to crucify your flesh daily are you practicing the love of God in your life and seeking to do good instead of evil many of us have situations that make us feel like times won't ever change some of us may even be clinging on to certain things certain people bad habits or private sins but I want to make this urgent announcement to you and I pray that you hear me loud and clear you don't have time to be holding on to friends who are pulling you into sin you don't have time to be tolerating those things that pollute your mind with lust and unclean thoughts the Lord wants us to be free from bondage and oppression he came that we might have life and have it more abundantly but it's up to us to receive the gift of Freedom which he offers us take a look around and see the signs of the times there are famines pestilences an increased number of natural disasters and rumors of War everywhere the final Prophecies of the Bible are being fulfilled before our very eyes Christ is soon to return yes we have the obvious signs about the last days we know men will be lovers of self we're told that dangerous times will come and there will be famines and pestilence and rumors of War but did you know that markers are a sign of the last days people who question the coming of the Lord are a sign of the last days where is this Jesus you speak of they'll say he hasn't shown up for hundreds of years so where is he that's what a mocker will say each and every day we are drawing closer and closer to the return of the Lord don't let the concept of time fool you the Amplified translation for James chapter 4 verse 14 says yet you do not know the least thing about what may happen in your life tomorrow what is secure in your life you are merely a vapor like a puff of smoke or a wisp of steam for a cooking pot that is visible for a little while and then vanishes into thin air I would like to draw your attention to Second Peter chapter 3 verse 3 to 4. the Amplified translation says first of all no without any doubt that mockers will come in the last days with their mocking following after their own human desires and saying where is the promise of his coming what has become of it for ever since the fathers fell asleep in death all things have continued exactly as they did from the beginning of creation a mocker is someone who jeers and scoffs at something how many markers do we have in this present day people who do what they do out of arrogance and pride they think they are intelligent in fact they stand to try and reason against the Bible because as we've just read a mocker will question the coming of the Lord they will question the promise of Christ returning for the church they will question the validity of God's word and say our ancestors are dead and buried yet everything is still the same as it was since from the beginning of time until now thank you they want you to question the word of God but we should resist such a person protect your faith protect yourself by not exposing yourself to people who purposely come to trip you up instead focus on living a life that is pure and pleasing to Jesus focus on doing all you can to put this flesh under subjection in fact the Bible tells us how to prepare for the coming of the Lord in second Peter chapter 3 verse 14 to 15. therefore beloved since you are waiting for these be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish and at peace and count the patience of Our Lord as salvation just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him we as
