as Believers in Jesus Christ we believe in a living God a God who is a God who is alive a God who is all-powerful and Almighty a God who is faithful and merciful and kind a God who was able to do the impossible he is able to go beyond human limitations and operate beyond the borders of our minds understanding One Touch from Jesus Christ one encounter with him and you will find that he is able he's able to turn your life around he's able to transform your heart and mind so be encouraged dear friend be encouraged for our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think one of the best pieces of advice I've ever received was take it to Jesus take everything to Jesus I once went through a very dark time in my life and I want to thank the Lord for planting Godly men and women around me who encourage me to seek Jesus rather than to seek an answer I was encouraged to seek Jesus rather than to search for explanations you see the Temptation we all face when we are in a challenging place is that we want to know how we got here why God let this happen and when God Will Make A Way Out we want to rationalize everything and understand it all but the truth we need to come to accept is that God does not have to explain himself he does not have to reduce himself to do things in a manner that we can understand the Lord has a completely different vantage point from all of us he sees the past he sees the present and he sees the future he sees the enemy's attacks he sees our weaknesses and our flaws he sees our hearts God sees so much more than we will ever see so we can't expect to understand the ways of an All-Seeing God we can't expect to understand the ways of an all-knowing God we simply have to trust that God is faithful God is good and he is good all the time God is loving and in control Isaiah chapter 55 verse 8 to 9 says for my thoughts are not your thoughts nor are your ways my ways declares the Lord for as the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts now I want to encourage you today and tell you that whatever your problem is whatever your problem may look like don't spend your energy looking for answers instead spend your energy looking for Jesus Christ don't spend your energy looking for an explanation or trying to reason about why this happened or why it didn't happen instead seek Jesus Christ when God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac Abraham didn't spend his energy pleading with God not to take his son he trusted God when Paul and Silas were beaten Chained and imprisoned they didn't spend their energy trying to work out how exactly they got themselves in this predicament no they sought after the lull and so I am talking to you right now if you are in a difficult place trust the Lord take your problems to Jesus because if you try to handle things on your own strength you will find it impossible to win you are not strong enough to live this life with your own strength you're not wise enough to survive this life with your own wisdom we need Jesus Christ you need Jesus Christ so focus on him instead of the problem focus on Jesus instead of the mountain before you you may have heard of the saying life is a roller coaster and it may sound a little cliche to this phrase life is made up of good times and hard times we experience both its highs and its lows as Christians we're not immune to the hardships of life and in fact many would argue that we face more hardships than non-christians after all the Bible does say in Psalm 34 Verse 19. many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all take note here how the Bible says many are the afflictions now I'm not telling you this so that you would be discouraged but rather so that you would be grounded in your perspective loving Jesus Christ living for Jesus Christ doesn't mean you'll have a life that's free from any problems equally when You Face challenges or pain this doesn't mean the lord loves you any less than someone else you see God doesn't promise us a life that is devoid of suffering pain problems or difficult situations as a matter of fact he tells us the opposite in John 16 Verse 33 the Bible says these things I have spoken to you that in me you may have peace in the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer I have overcome the world but you see after Jesus warns us of the many troubles we're to face in the world in the same verse He commands us to be of good cheer for he has overcome the world and so I may not know what you're going through but here's my message to you today be of good cheer because in Jesus you are an overcomer things might be tough right now everything might not be all right but be of good cheer have faith in the Lord and I declare to you that he will see you through you may be in a dark place right now but be of good cheer keep holding on to Jesus there is light at the end of that tunnel and not only does God want us to be of good cheer but he also wants us to turn to him in prayer during our difficult times in fact tough times can motivate us or prompt us to pursue God through prayer even more passionately and desperately than we normally would when we're in any kind of trouble we tend to become aware of how weak and limited we are on our own we feel helpless we realize just how much we need the Lord to intervene Jesus Christ is our comforter and a very present help in time of trouble the only help we would ever need yes as humans we still have feelings and emotions nobody can deny that God doesn't expect us to be laughing and dancing all the time but what he does want from us Is our commitment to him what God wants from us is faith because faith is what pleases God faith is what moves God to act so dear friend be of good cheer Jesus Christ has overcome [Music] foreign [Music]
