Give God Control Over Your Situation | Inspirational & Motivational

on our own we couldn't possibly live up to God's holy standard but praise God that his holy spirit dwells in US empowering us each and every day to live righteously in my walk with God there have been periods of my life where God has allowed me to face certain challenges that I could do nothing about except to pray about it and wait on God in hindsight I could see that certain problems God permitted in my life actually brought me closer to him because they pushed me to seek him they pushed me to get on my knees and dear friend I'd like to tell you that at one point or another you will encounter a situation where you are powerless putting your hands on a situation won't work calling on the resources of friends or acquaintances won't work and it's when you're in a time like this where you should simply pray it sounds so simple but yet we find this to be so difficult to do we should have an attitude whereby if you come across a situation that's threatening and you've done all that you possibly can you pray and you don't just stop there but to put it in biblical terms you praying without ceasing you continue steadfastly in prayer dear friends the Bible in Romans 12 verse 2 says do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind that by testing you may discern what is the will of God what is good and acceptable and perfect take a moment to really understand this verse if we are children of God we're being instructed not to be conformed to this world in other words don't be like the world be set apart and then we are told that we need to be transformed by the renewing of our minds so not only are you required to not conform to this world but there has to be a transformation that takes place in our minds but you see I want to focus on the next part of this verse it says by testing you may discern what is the will of God people of God let me ask you how do you discern the will of God where do you even begin it's all good and well that we pray and say not my will Lord but your will be done in my life but what is God's will for our lives well to answer this question we have to understand that for us to enter the kingdom of heaven we have to be obedient to the will of God and the will of God can be found in the word of God now John 1 verse 1 says in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God so if God is his word then surely his will can be found in this book we call the Bible this means God's will can be found in Acts 16 verse 31 where the Bible reads so they said believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved you and your household God's will can be found in Romans 10 verse 9 where the Bible says because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved God's will is that you should not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind God's will is that you should abstain from sexual immorality you should lean not on your own understanding you shall not have any other gods all throughout the Bible God's will is revealed we don't need to go up to a mountain or offer up sacrifices to know what God wants in our lives it's right there in the Bible God's will is that we should love our neighbors just as we love ourselves his will is that we should seek first the kingdom of God Saints if we are to see heaven then we need to follow God's will and his will is in his word so with all this at the Forefront of our minds let's approach the throne of God together and ask him to help us have a desire to read his word to understand his word to live out his word because his word is his will as followers of Jesus we are called to live differently from the rest of the world our conduct and our character will only be completely transformed when we accept Jesus Christ as Lord over our lives that means we can stop seeking Revenge that means we can react to persecution in a Godly way we can love those who hate us we can pray for those who persecute us these are hard things and they certainly don't come naturally to us however Matthew 19 verse 26 says but Jesus looked at them and said with man this is impossible but With God all things are possible now in Exodus 17 the Bible presents us with a powerful lesson on prayer in verses 9 to 13 we are told so Moses said to Joshua choose for us men and go out and fight with amalek tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand so Joshua did as Moses told them and fought with amalek while Moses Aaron and her went up to the top of the hill whenever Moses held up his hand Israel prevailed and whenever he lowered his hand amalek prevail but Moses's hands grew weary so they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it while Aaron and her held up his hands one on one side and the other on the other side so his hands were steady until the going down of the Sun and Joshua overwhelmed amalek and his people with the soul there are several lessons to be learned from this passage of scripture Moses went to pray away from the battle to a quiet place he didn't start praying from the front line but he backed off some distance and goes up to a hill to pray and this is the perspective that a child of God needs to have we have to fight our battles in private no need for an audience or Spectators no distractions it's simply them in their prayer closet and that's enough a prayer closet allowing intimacy with God it becomes your war room God acts in response to prayer each time Moses lowered down his hands the amalekites began to win and I believe this was God's way of teaching us that some of the battles we face as children of God are one and lost by prayer or a lack of it so dear friend I encourage you to pray through the situation you're in don't get tired don't be weary but continue steadfastly in prayer foreign
